Careers in Travel

Where will you go?

NTP Ltd Can you see yourself as a worldwide travel expert, using your in-depth knowledge of the planet's best destinations to help make people's holidays special?

If you are looking for an interesting and rewarding career where you will see new places and meet new people then travel could be the ideal profession for you. And on the Travel Training Programme you even get paid to learn the skills you'll need to get your working life off to a flying start.

How does it work?
The first step is to get a travel company to take you on as an apprentice - we can help you find somewhere and may even have a list of vacancies in your area. You will spend the first two years receiving training on the job and at special workshops with other agents at the same stage of their career. A training assessor will visit you regularly and will be available to answer your questions or help you out when you need it.

What will I learn?
Everything from worldwide travel geography to selling and promotional skills. And of course you'll learn all about different holidays as well as how to deal with customers. We'll also help you develop important skills like communication and IT.

Can I get qualifications?
Your work on the Travel Training Programme could lead to you gaining NVQ levels 2 and 3 in Travel Services, Customer Service or Administration within the first two years.

Do I need GCSE's?
Not necessarily. If you are between 16 and 24 and enthusiastic about a career in travel then you can apply.NTP Ltd
